ANGELO Engineering offers ALL engineering services from Engineering, Designing, CAD 3D Modelling, Drafting & Prototyping new products, to Machining individual jobs or 1000’s of components.  In addition ANGELO Engineering also offers Fabrication, Specialty Welding, all aspects of manufacturing.

ANGELO Engineering deals with a wide range of products & industries from Hot Steel Rolling Mills to Plastic Injection to Bakery Production & many, many more.  Over the last 20 years or more ANGELO Engineering has Designed, Developed, Engineered, Prototyped & Manufactured many Special Purpose Machines & products.

ANGELO Engineering was started in the early ‘80’s by Angelo DeCelis as a General Engineering workshop catering to many types of industry. In 1996 Mark Nelsen took over the business & developed it into a modern CNC machine shop.

Mark has a long history in engineering, Fitter and Machinist by Trade, Mechanical Engineer by Profession but it goes way back before then. He has always had an interest in how and why things work. Objects were often pulled apart to gain understanding, developing knowledge of how to fix them or even redesigning them if necessary. This is reflected in his working life. Designing, Prototyping and Manufacturing. Mark and his team have a passion about machines and technology and love to bring ideas to life through this development cycle.

Mark has been involved in several ‘patented’ products bringing his own unique aspect of looking ‘outside the box’. When someone has an idea on paper that they want to bring to reality, Angelo Engineering is the place to go to and Mark Nelsen is the person to talk to. I engaged Mark to supply, programme and commission a two axis CNC tool post for a large, (2.4 metre swing) custom designed and built lathe for a client in Abu Dhabi. Throughout the project he was always fully committed and co operative contributing beyond his contractual obligations. He successfully commissioned the lathe in the copper casting and rolling mill in Abu Dhabi. CASE STUDIES

A CNC (Computer Numerical Controlled) Drilling Machine specifically designed to drill Hand Rail Stanchions. The customer’s requirements were to be able to efficiently drill 4 holes simultaneously up to ø50mm at any angle up to & including ±45°. The machine was capable of drilling 1,2,3or4 holes of varying sizes & at varying angles or just enter the product code & the machine would automatically set for that product.

It was simple to setup & use with a wide range of flexibility. i.e. The top ball could be drilled at 90° on one side & 45° on the other while the bottom ball could have different diameter holes at the same or different angles.

A ø2,400mm CNC Lathe capable of machining Copper Casting & Rolling Mill Rolls.

The Lathe consisted of 2 Servo Axes, Computer Numerically Controlled programmed to machine & re-machine the Mill Rolls. This machine was designed, built & tested in Australia then transported, installed & commissioned in Abu Dhabi.

Guiding & shape control rollers for the production of PVC piping.

The unit is required to easily & quickly rotate through 360° with independently controlled rollers .

These rollers are used to guide the PVC pipe through the vacuum forming tanks & to assist with shape control of the pipe.

A fixture attached to a robotic arm for the removal of 2 x ø100mm TEES & sprue.

When the fixture is positioned by the robotic arm the Tees are removed

from the injection mould via the use of a series of vacuum cups.

Customer required the ability to scan books of A1 size or larger.

The Bookeye 4 needed to be modified to accommodate a ‘V’ Glass scanning area that would hold the book flat at the correct angle & distance to provide accurate, clear scanning.

The challenge with this modification was to come up with the design so the Bookeye 4 could still be used for ‘Flat’ scanning. The solution, make the unit quick & easy to remove for ‘Flat’ scanning & the same to setup for ‘V’ scanning.

AMBUSH Camper is a new design of ‘Toy Hauler’ with all the attributes & comforts of a ‘HardFloor’ Camper. It has a very low height which gives it a low centre-of-gravity, ideal for towing quads, motorbikes, jet-ski, canoes/kayaks, mountain bikes, all of your ‘Toys’. The design challenge was to be able to keep a low loading height, making it easier & safer to load & unload but allowing it to ‘expand’ then open into a full size hardfloor camper.

These requirements where met resulting in patents pending for the unique & novel inventiveness of the final product.

A compact, self-contained unit that can rotate the wheel & tyre on the car for the purpose of mag wheel repairs.

The unit has forward, reverse, variable speed, start, stop, jog & foot controls. It is light <20kgs but sturdy enough to take the weight of a vehicle, spinning the wheel at 125m/min.

300KG DOUGH MIXER
A 300kg Sigma sytle, Single Arm Dough Mixer. The customer required a large mixer of Stainless Steel construction with auto ingredient loading for dough mixtures in the mass production of Flat Bread (Pita & Lebanese). Once mixed the bowl tilted forward to unload into awaiting hoppers which were then lifted & transported via a Stainless Steel gantry system then controlled flow into the Dough Dividers.
